Playdates and Halloween fun

Kate had her first playdate with her friend Leah. I had a word with Kate after Leah went home, seriously Kate, do you think you can sleep through the fun and expect her to want to play with you again? Next time Kate will be a little more playful.

Carving the pumpkins with Daddy. Drew made a batty bat and one of his little sisters face...she makes this cute little surprised face.

Our little CinderYELLa

Our "blockhead" Charlie Brown. Even though Drew didn't really trick or treat anywhere besides Grandmas, and he can't actually eat anything he trick or treats for due to food allergies, he managed to make out like a bandit...Grandma made sure he had lots of "Drew safe" treats. He was clutching his homemade fudge all night. I also found little pumpkin and ghost peeps, and of course, Grandmas got him his favorite...cars in an Elmo pumpkin basket. Keep your fingers crossed he grows out of some of his allergies so he can trick or treat next year when he understands more what he is missing. However, I think he had more fun giving the kids their treats when they came to the door. He was playing in his room last night, and when he heard kids coming up the drive (before they'd ring the bell) and dart down the stairs as fast as possible so he could pass treats.
