We couldn't stop laughing today when we took Drew for a walk in his car. He stayed put, with his hands appropriately on 10 & 2 the ENTIRE time. With one pit stop to swing. We went on a loooong walk. Everytime we would slow down, he would jump up and down as if he was saying "faster, faster!". Of course, he had to wear his helmet, he is a bit of a monkey, we weren't sure if he would just pop out of the car or not (even with his seatbelt on).
Drew had a busy weekend, he watched Heroes with us on Friday night (I am almost caught up!), and went swiming on Saturday. He did not exactly LOVE swiming. We need to bring him more often. He just shook in fear, but after we got him in the deeper water, he seemed to calm down & started to play. He didn't cry, he just looked completely freaked. Then Saturday night he went to Grandmas with Auntie Ann to play. Today he ran another 5k. This was for SUDC (sudden unexplained death of a child) research. It was Laurens Run for a Reason. There was ALOT of babies/families there. It is such a heartbreaking story.
This week Drew his become a pro at getting to a stand, his favorite position is in a half kneeled position, he looks like he is about it take off running. This week Drew has gotten: two bruises on his head, bit into his tongue, pinched his fingers in a door and a big bonk on the back of his head. We think maybe his helmet will be part of his daily indoor wardrobe?
